By joining or visiting the Greater Buffalo Table Tennis Club, people are responsible for observing the regulations listed below.
Parking
Vehicles can be parked in the school parking lot or on nearby streets.
Building access
From the parking lot, access is via Door 6. Use the doorbell to let us know you need entry. People are permitted to use the facilities that include the nearby bathrooms and vending machines but are not permitted to roam the halls of the school.
Dress and equipment
All people entering the club must wear soft-sole shoes that do not leave black-or any other color-markings on the floor. Players are responsible for providing their own rackets. Where questions of appropriate play, equipment, clothing, etc. come into question, USATT rules will be followed in all instances. A copy of USATT regulations is located in the office. Because of the relatively small, confined club space, no gluing should take place inside the club; rubber sheet gluing should be conducted outside the club.
Expedited table access
When all tables are occupied with at least one person waiting to play, players may stay on a table for no more than 20 minutes in order to allow everyone an opportunity to play. If playing matches, the winner is allowed to stay on for no more than 2 matches and then must surrender the table to others waiting to play.
Player conduct
People must not abuse tables by sitting on them, banging them with rackets, placing food or drink on them, locking table legs (rollers) and not unlocking them when finished playing, and so on. Please remember that all equipment is property of the Club and needs to be treated with care.
Chronic, disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. This includes verbal fighting, constant loudness, disregard for Club regulations, and other behavior that might disrupt other players' enjoyment of the game.
According to NY state law, alcohol, smoking, other non-prescription drugs, and weapons are strictly prohibited on school grounds and are sufficient reason for immediate dismissal from the club with forfeiture of membership payment. Rubber-sheet cutting implements such as utility blades, long knives, etc. are considered weapons.
